Month: May 2026

My May 2026 Reads

It’s the last day of May and it’s time to share what I read this month: I listened to four audiobooks and one was an advanced copy and two novellas were sent by the author. I listened to one of the novellas twice!

Here are the books I completed in May.  They are listed in the order that I finished them:

To Die To Live by Jason Hershey- 5 stars
The Chosen Path by Jason Hershey- 4 stars (Listened to twice)
Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews- 4 stars (To Be Released June 2nd)
Witch Hunt by B.D. Spargo- 4 stars

My ‘top rated read’ was To Die To Live. It was my one 5 star read for May.  Both of Hershey’s novellas are good and I am excited to read the third in the series that was just released. I was hoping to get it read this month, I just ran out of time.  BUT it is short and I WILL get it read in June! This will be read versus listened to as it is not available on audio yet. These are novellas that deal with tough subject in young Theo Mitchell’s life.

My ‘lowest rated read’ was… I did not have one as the other three were given four stars!  Yay for not having a ‘lowest rated read’ this month!

About the Author:

Eva Harris is a women’s fiction author who writes emotionally rich stories about identity, resilience, and the quiet courage it takes to choose your own life.

Born and raised in Brazil, Eva draws deeply from lived experience to explore themes of cultural displacement, faith, gender expectations, immigration, and forbidden love. Her novels often center on strong, imperfect women navigating rigid traditions, financial hardship, and emotional crossroads as they search for independence, belonging, and meaning beyond the limits imposed upon them.

Eva’s writing blends intimate character development with real-world social issues, creating stories that resonate with readers who love coming-of-age journeys, cross-cultural relationships, and transformative self-discovery. Her work speaks especially to women who have felt out of place—at home, in love, or in the world—and dared to imagine more.

Besides writing, Eva enjoys learning about human behaviour, exploring different cultures, and turning real-life struggles into stories that offer both hope and honesty.

The Relentless Lady is her debut novel and the first in a women’s fiction series inspired by true events.
