My August 2024 Reads!
Hello September! My favorite season is upon us: FALL: cooler temperatures, fairs, corn mazes, fall festivals and my favorite holiday: Halloween! I’m off work that last week of October and I plan on watching a lot of scary movies!!! Now that we are in September it is time to share what I read in August.
I completed four books in August, three audiobooks and one physical book. I did DNF an audiobook, but gave a good effort with it.
Here are the books in the order I finished them:
My Daughter’s Revenge by Natali Simmonds- 5 stars
What She’s Having by Laura Moher- 4 stars
Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis- 5 stars (A re-read)
The Guilty One by Kiersten Modglin
My favorite read was My Daughter’s Revenge by Natali Simmonds. It was so good: The twists and turns on this one!
My ‘least favorite’ will be a book I DNF’d (Did Not Finish). That books was The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I gave it a good effort as I made it 35% in the audio, but just couldn’t do it anymore due to the narrator. He was so pompous and the way he pronounced Evelyn : Eve-elyn! (shudder!) After being that far into the book, I saw I still had over 11 hours left and I decided I couldn’t do it! And I could care less about Evelyn being killed. This was a book club read and I will try and actually read it sometime in the future as I have a physical copy.
Reviews will be forthcoming for these books. I am off work this week and will hopefully get caught up and get them written and another book that needs a review.

My July 2024 Reads!
Hello August! Today is August 1st, so it is time to share what I read in July:
Firstly, I have to share that the divorce is final. I am officially in a new chapter of life. I got five audiobooks listened to and one paperback read. I am hoping I can finally get back in my reading mojo!
Since it is the first, it’s time to share the books I read in July. And reviews for all but one have been written and will be coming here soon!

Love Letters to a Serial Killer by Tasha Coryell- 4 stars
The Housemaid is Watching by Freida McFadden- 4 stars
Pen Pal by JT Geissinger- 4.5 stars
I’m Divorced Now What? A Guide to the Rest of Your Life by Adrienne Rothstein Grace- 4 stars
Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth- I just finished this one two days ago and my rating has yet to be decided as I need to write my review!
My favorite read was Pen Pal by JT Geissinger. Shocking, right! And 4.5 stars!?!?! The smut was too much for me. If it hadn’t been as much of that then it would have been five stars! That is really saying something!
My ‘least favorite’… I guess it will be Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth. It’s not really a ‘least favorite’. I just haven’t written my review yet, and right now I’m thinking it will be 3.5- 4 stars. Since it’s most likely the lowest rated book, then that would be my ‘least favorite’. Right?

Hello July: Today I share what I read in June. This month it will be a list of what I listened to, as all my reads were audiobooks. I really hope my reading mojo comes back soon as I’ve got a great book just waiting for me: The third Housemaid book by Freida McFadden! I actually started it, but life happened and I had to put it down. Once I pick it back up I will start it over. I didn’t make it that far into it, so here is to trying again!
This month I will not have a most/least favorite as I gave all of these books four stars! Here are the books in the order I listened to them:

A Daughter of Fair Verona by Christina Dodd
