Rapid Fire Book Tag

I was tagged by Juliet over at Bookliterati Book Review  for this fun post. You’ll get to learn a little about me through this. Here goes:

eBooks or physical books?
Both! I love my kindle as you can usually get books cheaper that way and it makes it easy to carry more than one book at a time. But there is just something about a physical book! They will never go away!

Paperback or hardback?
Paperback. This goes back to the easier to carry around answer of the last question.

Online or in-store shopping?
I like both, but I think I will choose online.

Trilogies or series?
Series as long as they aren’t continued past the point that they should have ended. I don’t like when an author is under contract and has to keep writing a certain number of books and in some ways ‘forced’ to drag a series out.

Heroes or Villains?
Villains! I just love a bad guy!
**Unless it is a girl who can kick some major ass. I love strong female roles- villain or hero. Bring on the girl power!

A book you want everyone to read?
This is a hard one. I will go with my number one read from last year: My Girl by Jack Jordan. I wasn’t sure about it at first and it went in a direction I never expected! My review is here.

Recommend an underrated book?
Raising Stony Mayhall by Daryl Gregory. It is a zombie book, but a different kind of zombie book. It was left open for another book and I wish he would continue the story! You can buy it here on Amazon.

The last book you finished?
In Farleigh Field by Rhys Bowen. My review for it will be posted Saturday as it is for a blog tour.

Weirdest thing you have used as a bookmark?
Nothing too weird, I think just a scrap piece of paper.

Used books, Yes or no?
YES! There is nothing wrong with a used book!

Top three favourite genres?
Chick Lit
Apocalyptic/Post Apocalyptic

Borrow or buy?
Both- I love my local libraries!

Characters or plot?
You need both to make a book work. You need characters you care about and a well written plot to keep interest.

Short or Long book?
I’m in between 🙂 An occasional long book is good. I wish I could read faster!

Long or short chapters?
Short chapters! Again, I am not a fast reader so when chapters are shorter I feel I can read the book quicker. It also makes the book harder to put down. This is one of the reason I love Dan Brown’s books!

Book to movie or book to tv adaptation?
Book to TV adaption as a movie can only do so much. I did not like the 11/22/63 mini series on Hulu. They changed so much! I have not read The Handmaid’s Tale, but will be watching that. I hope to read that book soon.
