My December 2023 Reads

Today is December 30th, and it’s almost time to say goodbye to 2023.

I read /listened to 10 books in December: Eight audiobooks and two physical books. Of those eight audiobooks three were short stories.

The books are listed below in the order I finished them:

The Inmate by Freida McFadden- 4 stars
If You Could See the Sun
by Ann Liang- 4 stars
Skipping Christmas
by John Grisham- 3 stars
Vox
by Christina Dalcher- 4 stars
Do Not Open
by Kiersten Modglin- 5 stars
The Gift
by Freida McFadden- 3 stars
Her Silent Bones
by Pamela Fagan Hutchins- 3.5 stars
The Pram
by Joe Hill-3 stars
Ankle Snatcher
by Grady Hendrix- 4 stars
Prey
by Sarah Davis- 4 stars

My favorite read was Do Not Open. It’s like Misery but on crack! And with listening to this book, Kiersten Modglin is becoming an author I will most likely read anything she writes now!

My ‘least favorite’ was Skipping Christmas. This was a book club read and the only reason I read it again. I had read it many years ago and was not impressed with it. It also became a movie Christmas with the Kranks that I also did not enjoy.

What did YOU read in December?
