My February 2025 Reads

Today is March 1st, so it is time to share what I read in February!  I listened to two audiobooks, read two physical books, and read book on kindle.  For the shortest month of the year, I did really good with actually reading three books!  This is not including the audiobook and kindle book I did not finish.

Here are the books in the order that I finished them:

Wed to the Lich by Layla Fae- Physical- 3 stars
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab- Audio- 5 stars
The Crash by Freida McFadden- Audio- 5 stars
The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride by Joe Siple- Hardback- 5 stars
eMortal by Steve Schafer- Kindle- 5 stars

All of the reviews are here on the site! Be sure to check them out if you haven’t yet!

My ‘favorite read’ was The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride.  This one gave me ALL the feelings and I ugly cried in the last ten pages. I loved it so much that I am currently reading the sequel and there is a prequel coming out next month!!

My ‘least favorite’ read was Wed to the Lich. It just was not in my genre.

My January 2025 Reads

Hello February! January was the never-ending month, but it is finally over! For January I listened to three audiobooks and read one short story.  The ratings were good for the books: 4 stars and up!  There really were no bad reads this month.

Here are the books in the order I finished them:

Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney- Audio- 4.5 stars
The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald-Audio- 4 stars
Severance: The Lexington Letter by Anonymous- e-book short story- 4 stars
Everything We Never Said by Sloan Harlow- Audio- 5 stars

All of the reviews are here on the site! Be sure to check them out if you haven’t yet!

My ‘favorite read’ was Everything We Never Said by Sloan Harlow.  This was a mix of YA romance and some suspense thriller added in.  It also takes place in Georgia, so that was the biggest thing for me with this book!  Places being mentioned that I know since I am from Georgia enhanced the story greatly!

My ‘least favorite’ read…  Again, the books this month were rated 4 stars and up, so there was not a ‘bad’ book.  SO I can’t even choose one!

My December 2024 Reads

We are at the end of December and it is time to share what I read this month and my top 10 of 2024 will come tomorrow!  I read/ listened to six books in total, five of which were audiobooks and one was a short story. I read one paperback book which  was also unique as it is advent style!

December was a better month reading wise, with the books ranging from 3.5 stars to five stars. Two of the books were five stars!

Here are the books in the order I finished them:

Holiday Hideaway by Mary Kay Andrews- Audio- short story-3.5 stars
Booked for the Holidays by Liz Maverick- Audio- 3.5 stars
Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid- Audio- 5 stars
Where the Darkness Goes by Kiersten Modglin- Audio- 4 stars
My Time to Stand by Gypsy- Rose Blanchard- Audio- 4 stars
25 Days by Per Jacobsen- Paperback -5 stars

My ‘favorite read’ was very hard to choose from since I had two five star reads and they are very different genres!  I ultimately decided that 25 Days was the winner. Both are very unique but 25 Days gets a slight advantage for the advent style book that it is meant to be read in.  It definitely kept me reading!

My ‘least favorite’ was Holiday Hideaway by Mary Kay Andrews.  Let’s just say that MKA should stay with full length novels. And I hate to say this as she is one of my ‘will always read’ authors.
